We here at Hippy Heaven Natural Beauty take the care of our environment very seriously.

We have been questioned lately on the use of paper based labels and lack of cardboard glossy packaging. The answer is really quite simple. Our bottles and jars are sourced from a Melbourne company, which produces their products in Melbourne! They are PET containers and are all BPA free. Freight is therefore minimised too wherever possible to reduce our carbon footprint where we can.

As they are recyclable, it makes environmental sense to use a label that breaks down easily to pulp. A vinyl based label, although waterproof, ultimately takes more resources to produce and creates extra waste. Extra packaging around our containers leads to more resources being used unecessarily, as well as increased costs, which ultimately, need to be passed on to you, the consumer!

We have just commenced using a biodegradable bubble wrap, a necessary part of packaging when sending via Australia Post to ensure your products arrive in the best condition possible.

We are also moving to  biodegradable bags this year. While they won't look as pretty as those we've used in the past, I'm sure our customers will agree that every little bit helps and accept our decision to change suppliers!
